Tyler Veen – Head Coach/General Manager
2024-25 will mark Tyler Veen’s second Season as Head Coach. Previously he was serving as the Grizzlies Assistant Coach for 2 years. Tyler also served as a scout for the Austin Bruins of the North American Hockey League and the Fargo Force of the United States Hockey League. Veen attended and graduated from the University of North Dakota, majoring in Business Management and obtaining a Minor in Coaching. The Harwood, ND, native played the sport of hockey from a young age through high school. From there, Veen transitioned from a player to a coach. For the last 4 seasons, he coached in the East Grand Forks Youth Program and helped high school during fall camps.
Brandon Ratzloff – Assistant Coach
Brandon will enter his Second Season as Assistant Coach in 2024-25. Brandon is a native of Rochester, MN where he played hockey all throughout high school. After high school Brandon spent time with the Chicago Fury AAA in the 18U T1 Elite League, progressing into the NA3HL with the La Crosse Freeze/Coulee Region Chill. After 2 years in the NA3HL, Brandon Committed to Augsburg University where he played Hockey for 4 years, and is currently still pursuing his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. Brandon also assists with the Southern MN Bears 16/18U Programs.
Bob Montrose – Assistant Coach
2024-25 will be Bob’s Second Season serving in the Assistant Coach position for the Grizzlies. The Minneapolis, Minnesota native will bring a wealth of hockey coaching experience to the team. Bob played high school hockey for Holy Angels Academy and went on to play college hockey at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. He also played professionally in Australia. He has coached at the high school level for 11 years and at the Junior level for 9 years. He owns and operates the Peak Performance Hockey Camps and has been involved with individual skills training for over 30 years. Bob serves as the manager of the Graham Arena Complex in Rochester. He is married to Lisa and has three kids, Sarah, Katie, and Nick.
Carl Haakenson – Team Equipment Manager
Carl will be entering his 2nd season as the Grizzlies equipment manager in 2024-25. The Rochester Native attended Pine Island High school, where he played football, hockey, and baseball. He attended St. Paul Technical College where he graduated with a degree in Iron Working. Carl is a member of the AEMA, the Athletic Equipment Manager Association of America as well.
