Mar 6, 2019

ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Rochester Grizzlies of the North American 3 Hockey League have announced defenseman Luke McKinch has signed a 2019-20 tender with the team. By signing a tender, McKinch will no longer be eligible for the NA3HL draft in April and his rights are owned by the Grizzlies.

A native of Plymouth, WI, the 17-year-old McKinch has spent the past few seasons playing for Sheboygan High School. This season with Sheboygan, McKinch had 16 points (9G, 7A) in 25 total games played. Last season was McKinch’s best at Sheboygan as he finished with 32 points (18G, 14A) in 24 games.

McKinch is the first player to sign a tender with the Grizzlies for the 2019-20 season.

The Grizzlies are in action this weekend with two games against Coulee Region. Friday is a road game while Saturday is the regular season home finale. It is also Fan Appreciation Night where the first 250 fans at the game received a Grizzlies team photo. There will also be a live jersey auction immediately following the game where fans can bid on game-worn jerseys.
