Bruins Select Grizzlies Defenseman Rush in NAHL Draft

DALLAS, Texas – The Austin Bruins of the North American Hockey League decided to stay within the organization Tuesday afternoon at the NAHL Draft. The Bruins selected Rochester Grizzlies defenseman Cullen Rush in the second round with their third pick of the day.

Rush, an Alexandria, VA native, joined the Grizzlies at the end of February after spending most of the season with the Atlanta Jr. Knights of the USPHL. With the Grizzlies, Rush played the final six games of the regular season picking up three assists and was a plus-11. He also appeared in all three Fraser Cup Playoff games for Rochester.

After the Grizzlies’ season came to an end, Rush practiced with the Bruins for a couple weeks.

The Grizzlies are looking ahead to their second season in 2019-20. Season tickets are already on sale starting as low as $150.
