CALL UP: DeRosa Rejoining Austin Bruins

ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Rochester Grizzlies of the North American 3 Hockey League have announced Matt DeRosa has been recalled by the Austin Bruins of the North American Hockey League. DeRosa is set to join the Bruins for their road game tonight against the St. Cloud Blizzard. DeRosa started the season with Austin, playing two games in September. He also joined the Bruins for their road trip last weekend to Bismarck, playing in both games last weekend. Both were Austin victories.

DeRosa, 18, is in his second season with the Grizzlies. In 24 games this season he has 24 points (14 goals, 10 assists). He scored two goals in Friday night’s 8-0 win over Milwaukee and is currently on a three-game point streak. DeRosa is sixth on the Grizzlies in points this season.

The Grizzlies are already without forward Joey Fodstad as he is currently up with the Minnesota Wilderness of the NAHL.

Rochester is back home Saturday evening, finishing up a weekend series against the Milwaukee Power. This game is a Saturday Night Showdown sponsored by Sterling State Insurance Agency. Puck drop is set for 7 PM with doors opening at 6 PM. Fans can also start purchasing Pink in the Rink tickets on sale at the merchandise table. This season’s Pink in the Rink game is set for Saturday, Feb. 1.
