DeRosa Scores Twice in NA3HL 18U Victory

BLAINE, Minn. – Rochester Grizzlies forward Matt DeRosa continued his strong play into the spring. The Alpharetta, GA native scored two goals for the North American 3 Hockey League 18U All-Star Team in their 5-4 shootout victory over Team East 18U. The game took place in Blaine, MN as part of the North American Hockey League’s 18U Top Prospects Tournament.

DeRosa started the comeback for the NA3HL 18U team, scoring his first of the game just 35 seconds into the third period, cutting the Team East lead to 3-1. His second of the game tied the score at three, coming at 6:02 of the third.

DeRosa completed his first season as a member of the Grizzlies in 2018-19. He finished third on the team in scoring with 46 points (23 G, 23 A) in 46 games and led the team with a plus-37. DeRosa appeared in three games with the Austin Bruins of the NAHL and joined their team at the end of the Grizzlies’ season.

The NA3HL 18U team continues the NAHL 18U Top Prospects Tournament tomorrow at 11am against the NAPHL East 18U team. All games can be found on Hockey TV.
