ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Rochester Grizzlies of the North American 3 Hockey League have their schedule set for the annual NA3HL Showcase Tournament in Blaine, MN. The 2019 Showcase will be held at the National Sports Center Super Rink from Sunday, Dec. 15 through Tuesday, Dec. 17. Rochester is set to face the Elmira Jr. Soaring Eagles, Bozeman Icedogs and Texas Brahmas.
The action starts Sunday afternoon for the Grizzlies as they will be the home team taking on Elmira at 1:30 PM from Rink 4. The Jr. Soaring Eagles are in the Northeast Division and as of today, sit in second place with a record of 10-8-0-1 for 21 points. This marks the second straight year the Grizzlies will face a team from the Northeast Division, as last season Rochester faced the Oswego Stampede.
Monday’s game sees Rochester as the road team taking on the Bozeman Icedogs. Bozeman has been off to a strong start this season and is currently on an eight-game win streak. The Icedogs, as of Monday afternoon, are in first place in the Frontier Division at 20-1-0-0 for 40 points. Puck drop for this game is slated for 1:15 PM at Rink 2.
The Grizzlies end the Showcase Tuesday morning against the Texas Brahmas of the South Division with a puck drop at 9:30 from Rink 1. Texas, the 2019 Fraser Cup Champions, are off to a solid start this season, sitting second place in the South Division at 15-2-0-0 for 30 points as of Monday afternoon.

The Grizzlies are back home this week for two games against the Peoria Mustangs. Friday’s game is Black Friday Blackout, where fans are encouraged to wear black to the game to create the “blackout” effect. All tickets are $5. Beer buckets will be just $10 for the game and draft beer is $2. We will also be raffling off a new television at the game and select Grizzlies merchandise will be 50%. Saturday is Rochester Youth Hockey Association Night. All kids who wear their RYHA hockey sweater get free admission to the game. Our mascot, Boomer, will be wearing a custom-made RYHA themed sweater which will be auctioned off at the game. Puck drop for both games is 7 PM.
