ROCHESTER, Minn. –  The North American Tier 3 Hockey League has many storytellers but this season, one rose above the rest! The Rochester Grizzlies are proud to announce that team broadcaster Josh Bartosik has been named the NA3HL Broadcaster of the Year, recognizing his outstanding work and dedication throughout the season, the league announced Wednesday.

A Season on the Big Stage

Bartosik’s reach extended far beyond Rochester this year. He was trusted with the microphone at four of the league’s premier events, each one a showcase of the NA3HL’s best talent and biggest moments. From the opening puck drop at the NA3HL Showcase in Blaine, Minnesota, to the league’s Top Prospects Tournament, Bartosik delivered polished, energetic broadcasts that captured both the pace and personality of the game. His season also included one of the most unique stages in hockey: the NA3HL Outdoor Classic during Hockey Day Minnesota, where the environment itself becomes part of the story. He capped it all off on the biggest stage of the year, calling games at the Fraser Cup Tournament, including coverage of the Grizzlies as they pushed toward the summit.

Raising the Standard

But Bartosik’s impact wasn’t limited to where he called games, it was how he transformed them. This season, he introduced OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) into the Grizzlies’ production workflow, elevating the overall broadcast quality to a new level. Cleaner visuals, smoother transitions, and a more professional presentation turned every game into a product that matched the energy on the ice, which showed with a 60% increase in viewership over the course of the season. For a league where visibility is everything for players chasing the next level, that upgrade mattered.

More Than a Broadcaster

Behind the scenes, Bartosik proved just as valuable. Whether assisting with social media content, supporting marketing efforts, or helping shape the Grizzlies’ brand presence, he became a key piece of the organization’s day-to-day operations. His role blurred the line between broadcaster and builder, someone invested not just in telling the story, but in growing it.

The Voice of a Climb

As the Grizzlies surged from the middle of the pack to the brink of a championship, Bartosik’s voice carried every moment, every comeback, every milestone, every near step to the top. Broadcaster of the Year isn’t just about calling games, it’s about elevating a team, a league, and the experience for everyone watching and this season, Josh Bartosik did exactly that.
