Grizzlies Make Eight Selections in NA3HL Draft

ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Rochester Grizzlies completed their second North American 3 Hockey League Draft by making eight selections in the eight round draft. The picks are as followed:

Round 1 pick 24 – Devin Hays, Erie, CO (5’9″ 170 lbs) – F, Meijer AAA 18U

Hays spent the past two seasons with the Meijer AAA 18U program. The forward was the captain of the club this past season. Hays also signed a tender with the Chippewa Steel of the North American Hockey League.

Round 4 pick 132 – Braden Bartoo, Maple Grove, MN (6’0″ 190 lbs) – F, Sioux Falls Power 18U

Bartoo had 10 points (5 G, 5 A) in 16 games played for the Power this past season. He also appeared in one game for the Minot Minotauros of the North American Hockey League.

Round 5 pick 168 – Nicholas Vega, Edina, MN (5’6″ 153 lbs) – F, St. Thomas Academy

Vega has spent the past four season with St. Thomas Academy. This past season, he scored 31 points (12 G, 19 A) in 25 games played.

Round 5 pick 169 – Connor Tartaglione, Far Hills, NJ (6’0″ 175 lbs) – F, NJ Jr Titans 18U

Tartaglione has been with the New Jersey Titans program for the past two seasons. The forward had 23 points (9 G, 14 A) in 18 NAPHL games last season and was a point-per-game player this past season for the Titans.

Round 6 pick 205 – Cody Reagle, Bay City, MI (6’0″ 175 lbs) – F, Meijer AAA 18U

Reagle and Hays were teammates at Meijer for the past two seasons. Reagle split the 2017-28 season with the Midget program and NAPHL 18U. He spent all of the 2018-19 season with the 18U team.

Round 7 pick 240 – Jackson Sabo, Rosemount, MN (6’2″ 170 lbs) – F, Rosemount HS

Sabo was the captain in his senior season for Rosemount. The forward had a career-high 41 points (18 G, 23 A) in 25 regular season games played.

Round 7 pick 241 – Nicholas Remissong, Lake Forest, IL (5’11” 170 lbs) – F, Milwaukee Jr Admirals 16U

The Lake Forest, IL saw his production double this past season for the Milwaukee Jr Admirals 16U team. In 2017-18, Remissong put up 16 points in 25 games. This past season, he had 32 points (14 G, 18 A) in 36 games played.

Round 8 pick 278 – Dustin Sorensen, Rochester, MN (6’2″ 165 lbs) – F, Rochester Lourdes HS

The Rochester, MN native helped Rochester Lourdes advance all the way to the section final, being ultimately falling to Minnesota River. The senior had 46 points (21 G, 25 A) in 24 regular season games. Sorensen also added four goals in three playoff games.
