The Rochester Grizzlies open the 2024-25 season this Friday, September 13th, at home, taking on the West Bend Power. The Grizzlies will have 11 Players returning to Rochester from last season’s team, and 17 new faces excited to make an impact early. The 2024 Off-season was a very productive one for the Grizzlies Organization; from having 1/4th of the NA3HL’s NAHL Draft Picks, to 5 College Commitments, to all of the new players coming to town, to a whole new look on the ice for the team.
The Grizzlies had 6 Players drafted in the 2024 NAHL Draft: Aiden Emerich, Luke Sawicky, Cael Knutson, Noah Joyce, Andrew Bastian, and Josh Wolf. There were only 27 NA3HL Players selected, giving the Grizzlies almost 25% of the draft picks in the 35 Team league.
5 players from the 23-24 team committed to play collegiate hockey: Ty Petzke-University of Concordia Wisconsin, Maksim Lakic-University of Dubuque, Owen Van Tassel-Hamline University, Ryan Berglund-Saint Mary’s University, and Leo Milan-Midland University.
The 2024-25 season will see a whole new on ice look for the Grizzlies too. Fans will see new Jerseys, Home and Away, and for the first time in the team’s short 7 year history, an Alternate 3rd Jersey featuring a classic look with a new logo!
With all of the new things happening in Rochester this season, the organization will add 17 new players to the roster to compliment the 11 returners, as the team makes a run for a 5th Central Division Championship and 2nd Fraser Cup National Championship!
