ROCHESTER, Minn. – The schedule has been set for the first round of the Fraser Cup Playoffs. The Rochester Grizzlies, the top seed in the North American 3 Hockey League Central Division, will take on the No. 4 seed Peoria Mustangs in the best-of-three series. The schedule is as follows:
GAME 1: Thursday, March 12 @ Peoria, 6:45 PM
GAME 2: Saturday, March 14 @ Rochester, 7:00 PM
GAME 3 (if necessary): Sunday, March 15 @ Rochester, 5:30 PM
The Grizzlies receive home-ice advantage in the first round (and potentially second round) due to the higher seeding. The winner of this series will face the winner of the St. Louis/Coulee Region series. Rochester won all six regular season meetings between the two teams. They have not faced each other since the end of November with a two-game series at the Rochester Recreation Center.
Rochester is home this weekend with two games against the St. Louis Jr. Blues. Friday is Billet Appreciation Night and Saturday is a Saturday Night Showdown sponsored by Sterling State Insurance Agency and also Fan Appreciation Night. At Saturday’s game, fans can bid on game-worn jerseys in the post game jersey auction. Only the white home jerseys will be up for auction, with the exception to those picked by sponsors. Both game times are set for 7 PM. The Grizzlies wrap up the regular season Sunday on the road at Alexandria with a 3 PM start time.
