May 5, 2020

ROCHESTER, Minn. – As the Rochester Grizzlies and Head Coach Chris Ratzloff continue their offseason reload, the team announced the signing of three more players to NA3HL tenders on Tuesday.

Max Clark, Alex Villa, and Jacob Ketola are the newest Grizzlies to have signed tenders with the Central Division Champions.

Clark, 17, comes to Rochester having spent the last two seasons playing high school hockey for Saint Mary’s Prep in California while also competing for Saint Mary’s at the NAPHL level. The Stockton, CA, native broke out in 2019-20 with 17 points in 25 games between the two clubs. Along with his regular-season stats, Clark brings with him eight games of playoff hockey experience where he registered a goal in eight games. Clark measures 5-foot-10 and weighs in at 146 pounds,

Villa, 19, is the second forward signed to a tender by the Grizzlies on Tuesday. Hailing from Anaheim, CA, he’s also the second Californian to be tendered on the day. Following two seasons in the Anaheim Jr. Ducks program, Villa took off for Canada and the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League.  Villa began his junior career with the Westshore Wolves before finding a home with the Kerry Park Islanders. All-in-all, the 6-foot forward tallied 30 points in 43 games while in the VIJHL.

Ketola, 19, was the lone defenseman announced on the day. The Spokane, WA, native spent three years in the NAPHL all in the Colorado Springs Tigers organization. The 5-foot-11, 161-pound blueliner totaled nine points in 42 points with the Tigers. In his three seasons, he’s helped backend Colorado Springs to the playoffs on two separate occasions. An intelligent player, Ketola only had 16 penalty minutes throughout his career, including only four minutes this past season.

The Grizzlies look to defend their Central Division Championship during the 2020-21 season. As the team takes shape with tenders, draft picks, and more, the Grizzlies are in need of billet families.
