Mar 21, 2019

ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Rochester Grizzlies of the North American 3 Hockey League have announced goalie Sean Guerin signed a 2019-20 tender with the team. Guerin will now be ineligible for the 2019 NA3HL Draft and the Grizzlies own his rights for the 2019-20 season.

Guerin, 16, is a native of Palos Heights, IL. He spent most of the 2018-19 season with the Indy Jr Fuel Midget program. He played five games with the U16 Tier 1 Elite team and three games with the NAPHL 16U squad. Guerin joined the Grizzlies at the end of January and remained with the team for the rest of the season. He was added to the 25-man protected list and appeared as a backup in the Jan. 25 game at Willmar. Guerin was then taken off the 25-man protected list shortly after to make room for other players, but stayed with the team for the rest of the season.

Guerin even made a road trip with the Austin Bruins of the North American Hockey League where he served as an emergency backup.
