ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Rochester Grizzlies of the North American 3 Hockey League have announced Rochester, MN native and John Marshall High School forward Teejay Torgrimson has signed a 2020-21 tender with the Grizzlies. By signing the tender, Torgrimson is no longer eligible for the 2020 NA3HL Draft and his rights belong to Rochester.

Torgrimson, 17, started the 2019-20 season with the Grizzlies. He appeared in 12 games and tallied a goal and an assist. Torgrimson then went back to John Marshall for his senior season where he led the Rockets in points with 32 (16 goals, 16 assists) in 26 games. Torgrimson also tallied 38 points in 50 games over the past two seasons with John Marshall.

Torgrimson is the third player to sign a tender with the Grizzlies for the 2020-21 season. He joins Rochester Century forward Gavin Gunderson and Shattuck St. Mary’s forward Justin Wright.

The Grizzlies have two road games this upcoming weekend. Saturday is the final meeting against the Wausau RiverWolves, whom the Grizzlies have beaten all seven times this season. Puck drop is at 7:30 PM. Sunday is the last game against Coulee Region during the regular season. That road game is set for a noon start time. Rochester is 4-2-0-1 against the Chill this season.
