Kyle Bauer Signs NAHL Tender with Anchorage

Jun 11, 2022

ROCHESTER, MN – Rochester Grizzlies Forward, Kyle Bauer, has signed an NAHL Tender with the Anchorage Wolverines. The Wolverines compete in the Mid-West Division of the NAHL and play out of Ben Boeke Ice Arena, in Anchorage, Alaska. Bauer will be joining Grizzlies teammate Layten Liffrig in Anchorage as Liffrig signed his Tender Agreement in April.

A native of Hasting, MN, Bauer, 19, made an immediate impact in his first season with the Grizzlies and in the NA3HL. Not only was Bauer a staple of the Grizzlies’ Fraser Cup Championship run, but he was also named the NA3HL Rookie of the Year, named to the NA3HL First All-Rookie Team, and the NA3HL First All-Star Team for his performance during the 2021-22 season. In 49 games, Bauer tallied 25G-35A-60P and was the leading scorer for Rochester during the season. Bauer also appeared in two games for the Austin Bruins of the NAHL as well this season.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NA3HL – plus or minus any trades – which became active on November 1st. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2022 NAHL Draft.
