Layten Liffrig Signs NAHL Tender with Anchorage

Apr 18, 2022

ROCHESTER, MN – Rochester Grizzlies Forward, Layten Liffrig, has signed an NAHL Tender with the Anchorage Wolverines. The Wolverines compete in the Mid-West Division of the NAHL and play out of Ben Boeke Ice Arena, in Anchorage Alaska. Liffrig will be joining former Grizzlies Collin Pederson, Shane Soderwall, and coach Mike Aikens for the beginning of the 2022-23 season.

Liffrig, a native of Mankato, MN, began the 2021-22 season with the Minnesota Magicians in which he appeared in 10 games before finding a home with the Grizzlies. In 32 games played for Rochester this season, Liffrig became a key member of the Fraser Cup Championship team amassing 19G-25A-44P.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NA3HL – plus or minus any trades – which became active on November 1st. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2022 NAHL Draft.
