Liffrig Named Bauer NA3HL Central Star of the Week

ROCHESTER, MN – The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending November 14, 2021. The Divisional Stars of the Week is an award given each week of the regular season to the top-performing players in each of the five divisions of the NA3HL as nominated by their head coaches.

In his first two games of the season with the Grizzlies, forward Layten Liffrig, 18, made a huge impact, recording seven points in two wins over the St. Louis Jr. Blues. On Friday, the 6’1/185 lbs. native of Mankato, MN had the game-winning goal and three assists in a 9-1 win. On Saturday he had another goal and two assists in a 5-1 win. Liffrig, who began the season in the NAHL with the Minnesota Magicians, was also +7 in the two wins.

Tyler Ownby was an Honorable Mention this week, as the ’02 forward from Sioux City, IA collected 3 assist last weekend vs. the St. Louis Jr. Blues.
