Mar 20, 2019

ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Rochester Grizzlies of the North American 3 Hockey League have signed former Lourdes Eagles forward Paul Hofbauer to a 2019-20 tender, the team announced Wednesday. By signing the tender, Hofbauer is no longer eligible for the 2019 NA3HL draft and his rights belong to the Grizzlies.

Hofbauer is a native of Rochester, MN and just finished up his senior season with Lourdes. Throughout this four-year high school career, Hofbauer put up 63 points in 105 career games (including playoffs). The forward had his best season this past year after tallying 27 points (14G, 13A) in 26 games played. The Eagles made it all the way to the Section 1A final before being eliminated by Minnesota River.

Hofbauer is the fourth former Lourdes player to join the Grizzlies. Logan Olson, Lucas Newman and Seth Karsell are all on the Grizzlies’ roster.
