Rochester, Minnesota – The Rochester Grizzlies are excited to announce their First Annual Outdoor Skate with the Grizzlies Presented by Rochester Toyota! The event will take place at the Soldiers Field Memorial Park Ice Rinks on Monday, January 29th from 6-8pm and is FREE to attend!
The entire Grizzlies team will be out on the ice donning our special Pink Cancer Awareness Jerseys while skating with fans of all ages. The jerseys worn will be auctioned off after our “Pink in the Rink” game on February 2nd vs Alexandria; and all proceeds from the night will be donated to Mayo Clinic’s Cancer Research fund! We want all fans to come out and skate with the team, and maybe even play some pickup hockey with our guys!
The Grizzlies wanted to put on an event for the Rochester community that is free and that could build excitement for our annual “Pink in the Rink” Game on February 2nd.
The night of the event, Townies Grill’s Subs and More will be open for families to grab food, warm up with some free hot chocolate! There will be a Meat Raffle provided by Ye Olde Butcher Shoppe, and we will also be holding a Silent Auction inside Townies throughout the night with various items from the Grizzlies and Various Sponsors!
Head Coach/GM Tyler Veen said about the event “We are excited to put on an event that will provide an opportunity to bring together the community for a great cause in raising money for cancer research at Mayo Clinic. The team is really excited to get out there with their fans!”
We hope to see everyone at our very first OUTDOOR SKATE WITH THE GRIZZLIES on January 29th from 6-8pm.
