ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Rochester Grizzlies of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce the commitment of Kory Potach to play Division-1 ACHA hockey at Grand Canyon University.

Potach, 20, played his first and only season in the NA3HL during the 2018-19 season. The Austin, MN native appeared in 35 games for the Grizzlies tallying nine points (six goals, three assists). Potach (6’0/170 lbs) also represented the Grizzlies at the NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament and appeared in all three Fraser Cup Playoff games for Rochester.

“Thank you to Rochester and the Grizzlies organization for helping me get to where I am now. My time as a Grizzly was special and something I’ll never forget,” said Potach.

Potach will start his college hockey career in the fall of 2019. He is the third Grizzlies player to commit to play college hockey this fall. Seth Bacon is set to play D-III hockey for Bethel University while Erik Evans will play ACHA D-I at Iowa State University.

“As an organization we’re excited for Kory getting a chance to continue his education and his hockey career,” said Grizzlies Head Coach Casey Mignone.
