In back-to-back games, the Grizzlies would match up with a tough opponent from the Southern Division, this time being the Oklahoma City Blazers.

In the first ever meeting between the two franchises, the game  was nothing short of physical and OKC would show early that they are not afraid to make big hits. The Grizzlies how ever would get on the board first, as at the 8:33 mark of the first period, Blake Arneson would feed a pass over to Joey Fodstad to give Rochester the early lead. That lead how ever, would be short lived as the top line sniper for OKC, Petr Philippov would sneak one past Shane Soderwall to tie things up at 1. About 1:18 later, Matt DeRosa would blast one past Olivier Charbonneau to give Rochester the 2-1 lead going into the 1st period intermission.

2nd period the score would remain the same, but unfortunately, the Grizzlies would lose Dylan Schneider, Tommy Gordon, and Yotaro Nakadate all to injury during the period.

In the final minutes of regulation, OKC would pull Charbonneau to give themselves the chance to try and tie the game and force overtime. Payton Hart on the other hand would spoil their chance as he found find the empty-net in the closing seconds of the game to give Rochester the 3-1 win.

Soderwall would end up stop 29 of the 30 shots he would face from the high flying offense of OKC. Rochester, now 2-0, awaits the results of tomorrows remaining Fraser Cup Pool Play games to find out who they will be play in Sundays Semi-Final.
