Rochester, Minnesota — On February 25, 2026, the Macon Mayhem announced that they signed Noah Roitman to a five-game professional tryout (PTO), marking his first step into pro hockey after a standout collegiate and junior career.
The 24-year-old right-shot defenseman from Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, arrives in Macon following the conclusion of his senior season at Concordia University Wisconsin, the four-year NCAA Division III program where he was a consistent presence on the blue line. During his college career, Noah played in 106 games, contributing 35 points (7 goals, 28 assists) while anchoring the Falcons’ defense with steady play and leadership.
But Roitman’s journey to the SPHL began long before college; in junior hockey with the Rochester Grizzlies of the NA3HL. In the 2021–22 season, Roitman was a pivotal part of the Grizzlies’ run to the NA3HL Fraser Cup National Championship, helping the team lift the league’s top prize and earning NA3HL Defenseman of the Year honors along the way.
That championship season showcased his two-way game: reliable in his own end, effective at moving the puck, and a mentor to younger players on a roster that took home multiple league awards.
Now just days after his college career wrapped, Roitman gets his shot to prove he belongs in the professional ranks. His five-game PTO with the Mayhem will span the team’s upcoming homestand, offering him a platform to display his strong skating, hockey IQ, and toughness against seasoned pro competition.
For Roitman, that first PTO isn’t just a pro-contract, it’s the culmination of years of hard work, resilience, and growth from NA3HL champion to NCAA stalwart and now SPHL rookie. And while the next five games may be short, the next chapter in his hockey story is just beginning.
