Rochester, MN – From the rinks of Mora, Minnesota to rewriting the Rochester Grizzlies record book, Trenton Fore’s journey has been built on consistency, leadership, and constant development. Now, after two standout seasons in the NA3HL, We are excited to announce that Trenton is taking the next step in his hockey career, committing to play NCAA Division III Hockey at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point.
Fore ages out of Rochester as one of the most accomplished defensemen in franchise history. Over the course of his Grizzlies career, the blueliner totaled 57 career points; the most ever recorded by a Grizzlies defenseman. This past season, he elevated his game to another level, setting new franchise single-season records for points by a defenseman with 53, while also breaking the single-season defenseman assist record with 41 helpers.
His ability to control the pace of play from the backend quickly made him one of the most dangerous two-way defensemen in the NA3HL. Whether quarterbacking the power play, shutting down top opponents, or creating offense in transition, Fore became a player the Grizzlies could rely on every night.
The league took notice as Fore earned a selection to the NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament, and capped off his season with recognition being named to the All-Central Division Team, and the All-NA3HL Third Team, honors reserved for the league’s top performers.
But beyond the stats and accolades, Fore’s impact in Rochester went deeper. He became a leader in the locker room, a fan favorite, and a player younger teammates looked up to. His work ethic and professionalism helped set the standard for the Grizzlies organization over the past two seasons.
And now, that work has opened the door to NCAA hockey. UW-Stevens Point has long been one of the premier programs in Division III hockey, known for developing high-character players and competing at the national level year after year. Trenton will be the second Grizz to attend UWSP, as former forward Peyton Hart, spent his Senior season with the Pointers’.
For a kid from Mora, Minnesota, the dream of playing college hockey has officially become reality. And while his time in Rochester may be over, Trento’s legacy with the Grizzlies will be looked at as the measuring stick for success in Black and Gold for years to come.
