ROCHESTER, MN – The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending March 6, 2022. The Divisional Stars of the Week is an award given each week of the regular season to the top-performing players in each of the five divisions of the NA3HL as nominated by their head coaches.
Rochester Grizzlies netminder Zach Wiese earned the Central Division Star of the Week after his outstanding performance between the pipes. In both of the games he appeared in last week, the Owatonna, MN native picked up two wins, one of which was an 18 shot shutout. In those two games, Wiese faced 37 shots, only allowing one, for a combined 1.00 GAA and a .973 SV%. Wiese finished the NA3HL regular season with a 20-2-1-1 record, a 1.70 GAA, and a .927 SV% which earned him the fourth spot in the league amongst all goaltenders.
Grizzlies Captain, Justin Wright was named the 2nd Star of the Week with his performance vs the Oregon Tradesmen. The Hong Kong, HKG native collected 2G-1A-3P to help propel the Grizzlies to a weekend sweep of the Tradesmen.
